Le Rhénan, a story of family and passion
The story of our hotel in Dorlisheim begins with a childhood dream — Claude’s dream of one day creating his own establishment, whether a hotel or a restaurant, where people could come together, share, and experience moments of happiness.
Although his family background initially led him toward a different career, Claude decided to embark on this adventure in 2010. His wife Véronique, inspired by the project and drawn to the world of hospitality, soon joined him.
The Best Western Plus Hotel Le Rhénan, near Strasbourg, was born in 2011. Since then, Véronique and Claude have welcomed guests with the same generosity one would offer in a family home — a contemporary home infused with warmth. The interior design, created by Patrick Grandgirard, reveals bold plays of light and texture, enhanced here and there by touches of street art.
Striking a balance between the Alsatian tradition of hospitality and contemporary design, this hotel in Dorlisheim embraces modernity while never losing sight of the pleasure of welcoming its guests.

The restaurant at our hotel in Dorlisheim, Chez Claude Braise & Rôtisserie, celebrates flavour and quality ingredients. Our chef, Valentin Meyer, works with local suppliers through short supply chains, mindful of the region’s rich culinary heritage.
